Choosing a power station for a camper van is one of the most critical decisions you’ll make. It’s not just about having electricity; it’s about simplicity, weight, and long-term reliability. After building my second van and testing countless systems, I’ve found a setup that truly changes the game.

Phase 3: Expanding to 13,000Wh
One unit was great, but for my Sprinter, I wanted “overkill” power to run a 12V Air Conditioner and a convection oven. I expanded my system by daisy-chaining three units: a 3000Wh, a 4000Wh, and a 6000Wh expansion pack.
Because of the internal BMS, you don’t even need to match the voltages before connecting them. You just plug them in, and they balance themselves.

Phase 4: Real-World Testing & Torture Tests
I don’t just review these; I live with them. I took a 3000Wh unit from Texas to Canada. It ran my refrigerator, laptop, and stove for four days of camping and still had 55% power left.
I even performed a “Torture Test” where I pulled 200 Amps of DC power. Most power stations would trip immediately; the Comvolt didn’t flinch. It’s even strong enough to jump-start a tank using the Anderson 120 connection.
